I want the fulfillment that teaching has to offer, because I believe there is no greater joy than touching the hearts and minds of youth. The truly curious individual is the one who continu es their education and never stops learning, and I believe my curiosity will drive me to be the best teacher I can be. Every aspect of our lives has a beginning, an establishment, or a foundation. As a teacher in todays society, I believe it is important that educators start with a solid foundation of knowledge. With the launch of sputnik in the 1950s, our society turned to its educators to insure our nation was producing quality students, especially in the sciences. It was hence that our nation realized we needed to improve our education with a back to basics begin. William Bagley, an essentialist, established a foundation for America with the intent to instill students with the essentials of pedantic knowledge and character development. It is here I find my philosophy. The back to basics approach has brought about an application of knowledge needed for the real world. At first I thought he just left home against his parents will because they cute him to marry earlier. After I saw the video, I understood it was the white quite a little who drove them to school in order to civilize them. But when he returned home, the first thing he has to face with was that his father was dying. But he still believed in the God could re untested the life of his sick father. All he wanted to do was to spread Christianity to his tribe. Unfortunately, though he attempted to change the faith of the warriors, people thought the white Bible was worthless and treated him as a traitor. Failing to cure his father and bring him meat to eat, he felt gui lty and finally decided to look for meat.Though he arrange meat, his father had died and he had to go to the jail as a result of killing animals. He still didnt know where he belonged to except hold for death. When reading the passage, I was impressed by the use of personification. Such as my eyes swam in tears which means crying, and when the sun lowered in the double-u and the winds were quiet the strong breath of winter crusted the snow. and wondering if the high sky likewise separated the soft-hearted son of GOD from us. The author set forth the wind, winter and sky as a person who has feelings. The irony is that he did as what his father wanted but he had to go to the jail because he killed animals. He learned the white peoples value system and didnt believe in his own culture.
